What is International Dance Day?
International Dance Day on April 29th is an annual celebration of how dance positively impacts our lives. This year’s International Dance Day marks the 40th anniversary of the annual celebration. In 1982, the Day was instated by UNESCO’s performing arts partner. Each year, April 29th is marked as a day to promote the importance of dance and the arts to governments, politicians, and institutions around the world.
What is Bloom Wellness?
Bloom Wellness Collective is a playful, non-judgmental, and supportive community that
enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families. Our community is uplifted through a comprehensive range of adapted expressive arts and movement programs. We offer sessional dance, yoga, and music programs (in-person and virtual), an Adult Day Program, and summer camps to foster purpose in individuals living with physical and cognitive disabilities. Each program strives to pursue joy, sustain health, and offer a sense of belonging and purpose. Bloom inspires our clients to live on purpose, with purpose.
At Bloom, we don’t take life too seriously. Each program feels, sounds, and looks like a party! We use International Dance Day to celebrate the amazing ways our bodies can move and groove. Dance is so much more than movement to music – it fuels the mind, body, and soul, celebrates all abilities, and unites the community

For every single pair of socks that Sock Rocket sells, we donate THREE pairs to organizations providing clothing to those in need. That means orders from our website, sock of the month subscriptions, custom socks, wholesale, as well as markets and events. Everything. We aren't doing it for the props, in fact we think there's a lot more we can do. We're doing it because we think it's the right thing to do. We want to walk the walk and show everyone that it's possible to be profitable AND socially responsible inside a small business model!
Our mission is to donate 1,000,000 pairs of socks to agencies and initiatives providing clothing to those in need. It's a lofty goal, but one that we feel confident we can achieve. To date, we've donated over 450,000 pairs of socks to over 350 different organizations. We'd love to have you on board for this journey!
